Ashes Auction

The Ashes Auction is a new auction-house feature built around returning expeditions.

Every so often, one expedition may return from the world with loot gathered from the monsters in its area. When that happens, a server notice will announce the expedition, and some of the loot may appear in the auction house under that expedition’s name.

These auctions are not manually listed by players. They are system-generated and can include a wide range of monster drops depending on where the expedition went.

What To Expect

• Expeditions can return roughly every 30 minutes.
• Each expedition represents a different area and loot pool.
• Only some gathered items are listed, so the auction selection will vary.
• Auction prices can vary from listing to listing.
• Some listings may have an instant-buy price, while others are bid-only.
• Auction durations are randomized between short, medium, and long.
• Expeditions rotate, so the same expedition will not endlessly appear while others are skipped.

Notes

The expeditions are simulated in the background. No monsters are spawned on the map, and no visible drops are created in the world.

This feature is entering beta, so prices, loot frequency, and expedition settings may still change based on testing.
